I am passionate about teaching others as I believe knowledge is an infinite resource that can be used to help us achieve great things in life. As a student at Northwestern University I have been constantly challenged to learn in new ways and I hope to inspire and help others navigate through various subjects. I am obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience on the pre-med track and I have already attained a legal studies minor. I am a firm supporter of customized learning as finding the best way to teach or learn is the best way to receive amazing results.

I am a 2015 graduate of Northwestern University, with an undergraduate journalism major/Spanish minor and a graduate degree in journalism. During my time at NU, I spent a semester at Madrid's top-ranked university, taking upper-level history and literature courses with Spanish students. I now work at a trade magazine in Midtown covering real estate.My tutoring experience ranges from first-grade students memorizing their first set of vocabulary words to gifted middle schoolers working three grades ahead in language arts to stressed-out seniors applying to college.No matter the age or subject at hand, I try to bring a sense of process and purpose to my sessions, creating original lesson plans to supplement class materials. My ideal session ends with a student understanding not only individual problems, but also connecting concepts to other coursework, feeling confident about the class or material in the future.Outside of my current job in financial media and my evenings tutoring, I'm training for a half Ironman. Hello! I'm Kade and I'm currently a second-year at Northwestern University studying biology and chemistry on the pre-medical track. I am a recent Master's Grad in Chemistry from Princeton University. Before that I got my B.A. in Chemistry from Northwestern University. Throughout my academic training, scientific research felt not like a mere career choice for me; but an opportunity to fulfill my fundamentally inquisitive nature. Along this journey, I chose to focus my study on neuroscience and obtained a Ph.D. in this field. Now, I work in the biotechnology industry: writing patents for universities, emerging biotechnology companies, and inventors alike. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students learn new material, but also to help them understand how to learn, study, and teach themselves things that they are having trouble with. This is something I struggled with throughout my academic career, and only through years of practice was I able to figure out new tricks and methods for teaching myself new material. I received a BA in Economics from Northwestern University, and just graduated in June 2016, and will tutor for Economics, the SAT, and the ACT. I am an attorney located in Scottsdale, Arizona. I received my law degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. I'm Zach, a sophomore at Northwestern University, and I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I am an undergraduate pre-medical student at Northwestern University. I am currently pursuing my degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business Institutions. I also work as a TA (teaching assistant) and RA (resident assistant) within the university, so I have practiced many interpersonal skills necessary to be an efficient tutor. As a student in a top-ten ranked institution, I can provide insight and tips for how to best prepare for studies in college.I will be patient and open-minded while tutoring as I realize it is important to acknowledge the diverse backgrounds and knowledge students may be approaching an academic problem. My favorite course to teach is organic chemistry because the course requires a blend of memorization and practical reasoning which can be applied in numerous contexts outside of school.
