The student and I worked on polynomial functions in mathematics today. Next week she will complete all homework problems (they are very long and we could only get through a few this week) and ask me questions on any she doesn't understand. We will then continue on in the material.

The student worked on spelling. He has to write the list of words three times. I looked through the list to correct the misspelled words. Also we worked on a worksheet for reading that focused on idioms.

The student and I continued working through SAT questions. We've focused on long reading comprehension passages, identifying sentence error questions, and easy to medium mathematics sections. I found that her progress had dropped the past few sessions, and we determined that her progress was the result of completing her SAT work during school. I'm hoping that she'll be able to spend time outside of school to complete her SAT work.  Again, she is a pleasure to work with!
