How can LSAT tutoring help you?

Many law schools make admission decisions that require students to have a Law School Admission Test score. If you plan on going to law school, you'll want to make sure you're ready to take the test and get a good score. The test is made up of five sections: reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, a variable section, and a writing sample. Preparing for this exam can take months, and it requires learning a large amount of information. A tutor can help you work through this enormous workload. Varsity Tutors can provide you with access to educational directors who can help you find an LSAT tutor in Long Island, New York, to assist you with your test prep.

Law schools can be very competitive. If you aren't well prepared for the LSAT, you may not receive a good score, and that can hinder your entrance into the school of your choice. To combat this, you'll have to study hard. A tutor can help you create a curriculum that focuses on the areas that you are weakest in. LSAT tutoring in Long Island allows you to spend time on the biggest issues in your test preparation. You can take practice tests that your tutor can use to assess your skills and create a curriculum focused on helping you in your problem areas. If you are strong in the analytical reasoning section but struggle with reading comprehension, you can spend extra time working through the reading section and simply review the analytical reasoning portion. Helping you feel prepared with all parts of the exam can be your tutor's main concern.

LSAT Tutoring review by Nellie in Long Island, NY
Today we worked on a worksheet the student needed to complete to make up a grade in class, and went over the problems the student missed on 4/1's quiz.  The worksheet and quiz problems were both on the graphing parabolas, and the repetition of prior material seemed to be very helpful.

The student and I are working on the final review. The questions are about pdf, cdf, mean, variance, etc. The student seems to understand these concepts, but needs more practice. I am suggesting the student to review some integration techniques, such as definite integral, areas of regions. We will meet again.

LSAT Tutoring review by Jay in Long Island, NY
The student and I did one hour in which we reviewed the reading comp practice problems I assigned her and focused on where she had trouble.  Then we did some more difficult reading comp passages and I timed her.  After that, we spent the rest of the session going over sentence correction problems. We also discussed strategies for pacing during the exam in light of the fact that sentence completions generally take much less time per question than reading comp.  I left her with vocab and practice questions assignments.

LSAT Tutoring review by Susie in Long Island, NY
The student is having a test on Wednesday over pre-calculus review, limits, and continuity. We covered a review of every section and made a study guide of the important highlights and formulas of every section. We also solved several problems in the sections that she felt most uncomfortable with. She is keeping up very well in her class and has solved all her homework for me with proficiency. She should make sure to get enough practice in to eliminate simple mistakes, but other than that, she knows all of the methods very well.
