I helped the student with a review of his homework that covered graphing inequalities. The student was very prepared and had most of the work completed. He had a few questions on what to do when m is missing from the slope-intercept equation. He will be having a test of the material covered this week next Friday. We will resume tutoring next Tuesday. Next week, we will focus on getting him ready for the test. After that, we will be going back to the beginning of the semester and going over concepts he was uncomfortable with.

Tutoring review by Abby in New York
This evening, the student and I worked primarily on two worksheets. The first was a one-page article about the old system of apprentices learning a trade from a highly-skilled artisan. He was able to answer the questions about the article. He also worked on a worksheet in which all the verbs he needed were included in a reading, but were not in the proper order. His task was to re-arrange the verbs so that the reading made sense. This was a challenging task, and he had some difficulty with it. He is going to complete this worksheet for our next lesson. He is also going to find and properly cite three websites that he plans to use for his essay about a famous athlete.
