Tutoring review by Robert in El Cerrito, CA
We worked on a history paragraph the student has due tomorrow. We went over some researching skills with Google and how to find reputable sources. I think he wrote a pretty solid paragraph about the French Revolution. We also worked on forming parallel structures for his English. It went over mostly smoothly. I talked to his dad and we decided that this would probably be the last session. I might email him about an annotated bibliography he has due next week, but we will most likely not meet again. I wish him all the best and have enjoyed working with him. If he gets his organizational abilities down and also works on his basics with spelling and handwriting, I think he will see great improvement in his grades and his enjoyment of school.

Tutoring review by Cindy in El Cerrito, CA
The student and I worked through a packet given to him in school as extra credit. The first 4 worksheets involved addition, subtraction and number patterns. He did well. He needed some prompting when figuring out missing numbers. After getting 8+9 incorrect twice, we discussed strategies for helping him remember. The next pages were related to geometric and visual patterns. Once I was able to help him see the patterns, he completed the questions easily.
