Started working on ISEE prep with the student. Went through her practice test to get a better idea on what she needs more help with. Did extremely well on reading comprehension and quantitative comparisons, but needs more help with the math sections that she hasn't yet reached in school.

Tutoring review by Linda in Pleasanton, CA
Today the student and I focused mainly on math and spelling homework. Currently, she is working on a combination of different math concepts including multiplying long digits, long division, converting fractions to percents, and a series of word problems that include the above areas. In language arts, she is starting to learn prefixes so in addition, I gave her a list of most-used prefixes and definitions so that she can master them for our next session. This will assist her for future reading passages and use of context clues as well as vocabulary once we begin our reading sessions.
