My name is Veronica. I am a mother of two children and a graduate of Eastern Washington University. I have bachelors degree in communication disorders and a masters in elementary education. I work as a reading intervention teacher at an elementary school in the area and have a passion for helping young people learn to read.

Recently graduated student from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in international affairs and French studies. As a previous camp counselor and resident advisor I am great at connecting with different types of people and figuring out the best way to help them succeed! Having started learning a language from the beginning, I am well equipped to help others do the same as I have a good idea of what works and doesn't work in language learning. Additionally, my international affairs major has deepened my understanding of politics, history, and macro-economics - learning how all of this works on a global scale. Currently I am working at a French immersion school as a teaching assistant. I look forward to meeting you!

I received my bachelors in General Biology from UC San Diego and worked as a math and science tutor during my first two years of college. After graduating I did some tutoring with reading and ESL and took some coursework for a teaching certificate at Eastern State University. I then chose to pursue a career in public health where I now work in communicable disease epidemiology.I have always loved teaching and, while working in public health, I also coached volleyball at a variety of levels for elementary aged beginners to the high school varsity level. I have done this for 16 years and am now looking at getting back to my roots of academic tutoring as way to return to teaching. What I love most about teaching is finding how to relate the subject to things already in the students life and, in that, hopefully better teach critical thinking and develop a lasting interest in the subject.

I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 2020 with my Bachelor's in Special Education. I am a certified teacher in the states of Missouri and Washington. I provide my students with daily instruction in the areas of reading, writing, math, and social emotional skills. I have a passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential. I differentiate all lessons to meet the specific needs of each and every one of my students. Every student brings a unique set of skills and needs to their education. I am now looking to start my master's in teaching and I think that tutoring is a great way to gain experience prior to beginning a MIT program. I have experience tutoring university chemistry and physical chemistry through my 2 years as a coach for the Chemistry Learning Center at Michigan Tech. I enjoy helping students figure out what they want to learn, why they should know it, and how it applies to everyday life. I am open to using whatever resources the student thinks is beneficial to their understanding of subject matter. I am located in the pacific time zone.

I am currently a senior at the University of Washington majoring in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry. I plan to apply to medical school this year and during my gap year work in a research lab and tutor. I have been tutoring for over 5 years in math, chemistry, and biology.

I'm a Computer Science major at Seattle University. I moved to the west coast from Minnesota for school, and love it here! I tutor all ACT subjects as well as Computer Science. I enjoy working with students, not only because I enjoy teaching but because I feel the best way to really master a subject is by helping others understand it. I look forward to working with some great students! Outside of teaching and class, I enjoy watching and playing hockey, as well as working on programming projects.
