The student and I worked on elasticity, consumer/producer surplus, and quotas. We also went through some of the questions on her practice midterm. She said she felt very confident about the quiz she took on Friday. After the session, I gave her a link to a site with more information on elasticity and followed up on a question about tax burdens.

Accounting Tutoring review by Matthias in San Francisco-Bay Area, CA
We reviewed four pretests in preparation for their upcoming midterm. I went through the problems they had the most trouble with and explained the underlying concepts. We worked through a couple of example problems and I tried to ensure that they had mastered the material. Overall, we worked on defining capital stock, GDP deflator, calculating GDP, calculating national income, and the relationship between interest rates and inflation.

Accounting Tutoring review by Cole in San Francisco-Bay Area, CA
We went over the student's test reviews for her stats and macroeconomic classes. She has a good grasp of her stats material, and there were only a few questions with which she needed help. She should do extremely well on the test. We focused more on the macro review, as the topics are a little harder. We worked on finding equilibrium levels of capital and equilibrium interest rates based on certain sets of requirements. We also worked on the relationship between investment and savings and how certain shocks affect the relationship. She did very well with the math-related problems but struggle a bit on theoretical issues. I suggested she focus on the latter as she continues to prepare for the test.

Accounting Tutoring review by Theresa in San Francisco-Bay Area, CA
We first worked on free response, making important notes as we went along. We also worked most closely with foreign exchange topics as the student wanted to practice these the most. After the free response, we did some multiple choice questions. I advised her to draw graphs, and also to skip any difficult multiple-choice because they range from difficult to extremely simple. I left more FRQs there as well as an AP book and told her to email me with any questions.
