It is therapeutic, meaning "it helps you heal" because everyone, young or old needs an outlet to express themselves and art is the vehicle for this outlet.My background in visual arts includes classes at MD Institute of Art and Towson University. I also have experience in video production and filmmaking as a former employee in television production at MD Center for Public Broadcasting, and photography experience through journalism classes at University of Maryland, College Park, MD. My writing experience developed through graduate Creative Writing classes at Johns Hopkins University and through years of essays as an undergraduate student at University of Maryland. It was here where I was conferred with a Bachelors of Arts Degree with Honors. My minor was Anthropology. I believe there is joy and hidden talents in everyone. It's just a question of "tapping into it." I would be honored to explore your hidden gems of creativity.

My experience as a graduate TA has allowed me to obtain a lot of experience teaching General and Organic Chemistry. Each year I look forward to seeing the students do well in the course and often employ the use of metaphors, examples, and models in order to make chemistry less mysterious and ensure understanding of the material. My knowledge of the material allows me to explain the information simply yet adequately using basic principles. Students can then be led to build upon these basics to arrive at more complex conclusions. I genuinely enjoy teaching these subjects and enjoy seeing others learn it as well. I'm the founder of a non-profit organization (2017) called Mentoring Youth & Teens' Health (MYTH) geared towards mental health awareness and youth development.I've also served as an undergraduate researcher for 4 years from Howard University to MIT to UCLA research experiences. I've represented my country and school on the national and international level via conferences and research presentations. I'm a Forbes Under 30 Scholar and a fellow at the Clinton Global Initiative.I'm passionate about utilizing epigenetic research and international policy to achieve justice for marginalized communities with a focus on health equity.

Certain topics do not come easy to everyone, I will work with students to set realistic and attainable goals. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a double degree in Biology and Psychology. I then attended Johns Hopkins University where I received a Masters in Biotechnology. I am currently a medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical School set to graduate in 2026. I tutor students in Psychology, English, and Biology. I also have experience in tutoring students for the MCAT CARS and Psychology/Sociology sections. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. As a tutor, I find it extremely rewarding when I am able to break down complex and intricate concepts and truly help students understand the foundational components of their subject areas. Specifically, I love helping students with SAT test prep, math, and essay writing, as I believe I have mastered the college admissions process, having gone through it not too long ago myself. As a current student, I understand the standards many teenagers are held to and the stress many of them are faced with, and thus would like to impart my knowledge and experience!
