Virginia Tutoring FAQ

How much does Varsity Tutors cost for students in Virginia?

The price you can expect to pay for tutoring for students in Virginia depends on a few factors. For one, the number of sessions you enroll in can affect the price per session.

For example, enrolling in continuous sessions throughout your entire term may cost less than it would for a handful of sessions to review before your upcoming MCAT. You may pay a different price to work with a professor to bone up on your knowledge before LSAT test day than you would for your student to study under the guidance of a private teacher to hone their basic elementary math skills. Tutoring review by Paul in Virginia
SAT prep. Discussed the math and reading homework that the student completed. She did especially well in math, missing only one question. In reading, she missed only one of the vocab questions and a handful of reading questions, mainly on the more difficult passage comparisons. We spoke about the strategies for the reading section, then focused on the essay. We looked at sample essays from the book, and picked one essay topic to brainstorm for and then complete for homework.

The student and I continued to work on math preparation as well as reading practice. His math seems to be going well, but reading comprehension needs more work. We will be focusing on that for the duration of the next lesson. Homework: complete 3 short practice tests online (math, reading, writing).
