How can Geometry tutoring help you?

Geometry may be a difficult subject for some students to understand. It is one of the first times where pupils are required to work with abstract components of math. A bulk of geometry problems deal with hypothetical situations involving shapes and surface area. If you are the parent of a grade school student who is struggling with geometry, consider working with a private tutor to get the assistance needed to understand the course. Contact Varsity Tutors to get connected with geometry tutors in Miami, FL.

Varsity Tutors is happy to try to help your child prepare for success in geometry. Our educational directors may assist you in finding a skilled geometry tutor near Miami who may teach your child in an engaging manner. Every lesson may be student-centered, and may give your student the opportunity to interact with their tutor. Your child may receive hands-on assistance from their instructor as they work through problems covering the area and circumference of circles. They may benefit from meaningful explanations that cover concepts like geometric dimension and line segments. Since one-on-one tutoring sessions place your child's needs first, and give them the opportunity to play an active role in the learning experience, they are more likely to enjoy and understand geometry classes.

Geometry Tutoring review by Matthew in Miami, FL
The student finished the last 2 practice quizzes prior to our session. I went over those answers with him and then we redid the last test he had in class.

Geometry Tutoring review by Amy in Miami, FL
The student missed his quiz last week because of an AP exam, and has two additional assessments this week: volume of solids and surface area of spheres tomorrow, and graphing lines and linear inequalities on Wednesday. We started by working through the homework problems on spheres. We then practiced problems on the other topics, completing a pretty thorough overview. He should do well.

Geometry Tutoring review by Rudy in Miami, FL
The student wanted to go over the end-of-chapter review for geometry. The topics included ratios, using secant/tangent lines of circles to find arc lengths and angles, area/volume of various shapes, and basic trig. We also spent about one hour reviewing biology. We focused on protein synthesis/transcription/translation, Mendelian genetics, mitosis/meiosis and evolution. Overall, the student is doing very well. She mentioned that it helps her to have someone go over the math questions with her. Even though she does have a good handle of the material, she makes a few simple math/arithmetic errors. For the biology, it does seem to help having someone help her explain the concepts and key terms.

Geometry Tutoring review by Beth in Miami, FL
In this session, we covered chapter 10 on area and chapter 12 on circles. Some specific questions from her quizzes and exams we went over included: how to find the area of a segment and sector, how to find the area of a triangle, similarity and perimeter ratios, finding the length of a line that is tangent to a circle, and finding the area and angle measurements of polygons inscribed in circles. The student is continuing to challenge herself by taking on difficult problems and ensuring she has concepts down solidly. She knows she has to review some equations and theorems for the exam, and her problem solving skills continue to improve.

Geometry Tutoring review by Chelsey in Miami, FL
The student and I looked over a variety of review sheets she had from past assignments that her teacher assigned for practice for the final. There were a variety of problems: volume, circumference, arc length, basic trig, law of sines, pi theorem, etc. She seemed to understand how to do the majority of the problems and she recognized the solutions from class. I recommended doing some quizzes from the online site to practice on her own without the answers, and then double check to see what she needs to focus on.
