About Me

I graduated in the top ten percent of my high school class and went on to Williams College (MA) to complete my Bachelor's degree in Biology. Currently, I am in the process of applying to medical school. In the meantime, I work for Miami Dade College. I like to tutor because I like teaching and explaining information to others. I believe a good teaching methodology is based on finding a good way to relate the new material to previous knowledge. It is also important to find analogies that could be applicable to real life situations. I have extensive knowledge in the science field including Biology, Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Genetics. I have experience tutoring in each of these. I have also worked with children in grades K-12 on homework and classroom assignments. I particularly like to teach Math because it is my favorite subject. I like to play chess, soccer and talk about fitness. I believe I can have a positive impact on the lives of my students and contribute to their education.
