I am an Environmental Biology major and Writing minor. Using my two interests, I find it easiest to help students learn complicated topics by being able to explain them simply and in your own words. I find that this way of learning is the best way to gain a full understanding. Difficult problems often have multiple ways of solving them. Figuring out the best way for each student to solve a problem can make anyone successful. In the near future I plan on attending medical school, and I look forward to helping other students be able to succeed in subjects that I feel passionate about. I am rising Junior at Harvard College looking to help tutor and help young minds amidst what is a uniquely challenging time we're currently living through. I love working with kids of all ages, and tutor a wide variety of subjects such as math, english, and standardized tests.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida. I completed my studies in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience and have minors in statistics and business administration. I am currently going on to obtain a Master in Computational Social Science at the University of Chicago. I am passionate about research, data collection, and analysis in the area of cognitive psychology. My specialties lie in Psychology and Statistics and I have a very strong mathematical foundation. I have experience working with middle school and high school aged students as a tutor through the national honor society club, which I was a member of as a high school student. I think that data science and research is important for our future, so I am motivated to help students learn and appreciate math and science as important tools.

I am a licensed physician from Florida who is currently changing careers. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and have extensive tutoring and editing experience. While a student, I became a certified writing tutor through the Critical Writing Department. Since I completed my writing requirement at the University prior to matriculating, I was the first freshman tutor to be accepted into this selective program. The tutoring program involved a preliminary peer-tutor training course prior to beginning tutoring, in order to certify that I had the appropriate background to provide professional feedback to fellow students on their literary works and projects. After graduation, I worked for a full-service learning center where I created and implemented high school lesson plans for home-schooled students, provided academic support for students ranging in ages from 8 to 20 years old, and taught group and individual standardized testing preparation classes. I have also assisted students with application essays for various undergraduate and graduate programs.

My tutoring sessions are interactive, patient, and highly personalized. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all methodeach student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match their individual pace, goals, and learning style. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.
