The student and I got through about a third of his geometry pre-final review sheet. With practice, he reasserted his confidence and our work sped up. I asked him to work on his algebra familiarity and practice as much as he could before our next session.

The student and I reviewed her classwork regarding concurrent points within a triangle. This included circumcenters, incenters, centroids, and orthocenters. Along with explaining the concepts, of these concurrent points, we worked on multiple problems as this topic requires a bit of memorization (lots of terminology). We broke down the material, to make it more organized and easier to retain.

Today's session with the student went well. We continued working on her missing homework assignments and quizzes. We completed a number of quizzes and one paper test. Her biggest challenge is the amount of material she is having to complete this week. The student has a great attitude towards our sessions. .After today, she has officially passed her math class and the rest of the work we do will be to increase her grade. .

The student finished his creative writing/ book report, and edited what he wrote. He did a great job with giving a recap and opinion on the story. We then worked on run on sentence structure, and did some example sentences where he worked on identifying run ons. He also finished his short math homework. Great session!

Tutoring review by Kendra in Miami Shores, FL
Today we worked on factoring polynomials and functions. We did a bunch of problems where the student had to look at the graphs of multiple functions and then use those graphs to solve the equation containing those functions. She made some avoidable mistakes at first, but once I got her to slow down and take her time she did really well. We spent the last 20 minutes of our session working on the website since she now has to earn 10,000 points per week. We did factoring and functions there as well. She was a little unsure at first with the f(x) notation but I explained to her that it means "f of x" and how it works with coordinates and then she did much better.
