The student's final is Thursday so we had a review. We focused this session on the chapters covering quadrilaterals and similar figures. We also did a quick refresher on area, volume, and circles. He gets to use some notes on the final so we went over those to make sure he had everything he needed. The student felt ready for the final exam when we were finished.

Tutoring review by Kewanta in Monroe, GA
Today we covered time - start, end, and elapsed time. I created three time word problems, and the girls were able to answer them successfully. I gave them two strategies for solving time problems. The first is to use addition or subtraction. The second is to use a number line. I taught them both; however, I strongly encouraged them to use a number line to solve for time. Both students are showing tremendous growth. I continue to encourage them to use their problem solving strategies, to never give up, and to break down the problem into smaller sections.
