How can GMAT tutoring help you succeed?

Students pursuing a career in business will likely be required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT. The exam evaluates potential business school students on their analytical writing, integrated reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning. The GMAT is used by thousands of schools to test students' aptitude to succeed in their graduate business and management programs. Receiving a good score on this exam is imperative to a student's future selection in schools, so it may be a good idea to put your best foot forward with the help of a personal tutor. An Atlanta, Georgia, GMAT tutor can be found with the help of the educational directors at Varsity Tutors to help you prepare for this important exam.

The GMAT is an intense test that rivals that of the SAT and ACT. You will want to be prepared for the exam to the best of your abilities. The exam lasts for 3.5 hours and pushes students to test the extent of their knowledge. It is not meant to be easy. Preparing for a large, and often stressful, exam isn't always fun, but with the help of a personal tutor, you can work towards test day at a steady pace. Your personal Atlanta GMAT tutor can create a custom curriculum that will work on strengthening your weaknesses and reaffirming the areas you are strong in. While most GMAT students will study to prepare for the exam, not all of the students will have the guidance of a tutor who is well versed in the exam and knows the important information to study. A personal tutor with an in-depth knowledge of the exam can be a great asset as you prepare for test day.

GMAT Tutoring review by Zachary in Atlanta, GA
The student surprised me by remembering everything we went over on Sunday. We worked through his homework as usual, but this time I barely had to help him. We then went over what he was going to learn for the rest of the week. He seems more confident, so I will look for some exercises that might be a little more fun for him.

Reviewed questions from the student's last practice test, He has resolved his timing issues, and got his best score yet. Now he should keep plugging away at practice problems so that he gets even faster at them, giving him time to review his answers on Test Day before he confirms them.

GMAT Tutoring review by Mahendra in Atlanta, GA
The student and I reviewed an exam he had taken during Saturday. His score in Math had improved a bit but his verbal performance had slid down. We reviewed all the incorrect answers and identified a few that were "simple mistakes" which could have improved his final score from 640 to at least 670. We did not review his verbal but he acknowledged that his thoughts on how he had done in math carried over to his verbal section which made him not perform at his best in verbal. We agreed that he should focus on time management in Math by using a digital watch and mentally not to allow performance in one section to carry into the next section.

GMAT Tutoring review by Sunil in Atlanta, GA
Spent 80 minutes on Problem Solving and the rest of the time split between Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction. The student needs to work on the Quant section -- he understands concepts when I explain them but often misses nuances in questions or makes simple errors in computation. Practicing often should help.

GMAT Tutoring review by Frank in Atlanta, GA
The student and I continued through our quest to do all of the practice problems in sentence completions, problem solving and data sufficiency in the exam review book. Now that we have completed the sentence completion section, we will begin to work on integrated reasoning while we continue to proceed through the other two sections. We are nearing the end of the section and after that i plan to introduce some tougher problems from exam.
