You can work with your tutor on practice exams, and together you can locate the test sections that you would like to spend the most time working on. You can choose to work on the verbal section (30 minutes), the quantitative section (35 minutes), the analytical writing section (45 minutes), or all three. Atlanta GRE tutors can help provide you with study perks that you would not otherwise have while studying on your own. While on test day you will be on your own for pacing purposes, your tutor can time you during your practice sessions, which can help you to find the pace that will work best for you on test day.

GRE Tutoring review by Evan in Atlanta, GA
He has the ability to earn the score he needs. When we go over problems he often is shocked that he missed them, and gets them right on the second go without my help at all. If he focuses on the day of the test I think he can do well.

GRE Tutoring review by Neil in Atlanta, GA
The student and I covered several subjects this morning. First we did a comprehensive review of the vocabulary exercises I assigned him on Monday. The student's performance was adequate. After working through vocabulary we touched on reading comprehension, and the test prep book approach to reading comprehension questions. We discussed the importance of identifying the main idea, scope and purpose of each passage before looking at the questions, and the significance of "reading strategically," that is, reading with question answers in mind. Finally, we covered comparative value questions from the quantitative section of the test--the student did well on this section, and really just needs to review some of the geometry and algebra tools from the test prep book in order to improve his performance.

GRE Tutoring review by Deirdre in Atlanta, GA
During our session, we reviewed the homework assigned during the last session. Then we worked on math concepts that would be fundamental to the admissions test and the state test. We went over order of operations and discussed strategies for simultaneous equations (systems of equations). These were accompanied by a number of exercises, which he seemed to master as the session went on. We also went over some verbal concepts. We started his word list, which will be an ongoing and cumulative list of important vocabulary for him to practice. Since the admissions test especially tests vocabulary, I thought it would be important to start practicing and memorizing now. We did a quick review of the parts of speech and agreed to meet on Wednesday to continue our work.
