Tutoring review by Ian in Ennis, TX
The student and I covered exponential growth, logs, and graphing rational functions today. We spent an extra half hour more than usual going over finding asymptotes and discontinuities to drive the point home. We will continue next week with a review and go further with rational functions. Overall he said he felt confident about what was covered.

Tutoring review by Ariel in Ennis, TX
We worked on vocab and practice questions. Most of the medium-difficulty problems the student did well on, but she struggled with some of the more challenging ones. I recommend continuing to brush up on vocabulary.

Tutoring review by Moodey in Ennis, TX
We covered the concepts of long division and synthetical division, Section 2.3 and 2.4 of his assigned textbook. The student had little struggles regarding applying the concepts of the division in general to work on function division. We worked a lot of practice problems to ensure the full understanding of the materials. I assigned him homework practice problems to maintain full practice of the whole concepts of the materials.

Tutoring review by Traci in Ennis, TX
The student had recently taken a practice math test, and we went over the questions she either skipped or missed. I helped her rethink PEMDAS by using a visual representation of "Please Excuse "My Dear" "Aunt Sally" that helps her understand to do all multiplication and division from left to right and then all addition and subtraction from left to right. We also practiced staying calm about vocabulary terms in math problems. She knows what they mean but gets anxious about it. We also worked on thinking backwards and plugging in answers to certain kinds of questions. We finished our time by doing a reading section in a practice book, and she did really well!

Tutoring review by Albina in Ennis, TX
We reviewed number patterns, inequalities, slopes, lines, and word problems. I gave the student my email address and asked her to send me her completed worksheet over the weekend. I then intend to send her 5-10 questions per day until her exam for practice. If she does them, I think she should do exceptionally well. I will check over them and send full detailed reviews, where necessary.

Tutoring review by Michael in Ennis, TX
This was my first session meeting this student, and I think it went incredibly well! She is very intelligent, and picks up on material with incredible speed. We began by reviewing factoring, and the importance of the subject. Then we moved on to the quadratic equation. She excelled at this, simply because it is algebra based. Then we reviewed completing the square. This was a minor struggle for her, simply because he teacher uses a long method. I taught her an easier method that takes much less time and is easier to remember. She should continue to review the past tests and classwork that she did not understand so that she has a list of topics to cover for next week's session.
