How can a Pre-Calculus tutor help you?

Math can be a difficult subject for many students, but calculus, and even pre-calculus, can be especially dreaded amongst those who find math hard to grasp. Whether you are having difficulty with pre-calculus basics like limits and series, or you struggle with more complex ideas like spherical coordinates and rotation matrices, a tutor can help you work through your coursework. The educational directors at Varsity Tutors can help you locate a great pre-calculus tutor in Fort Worth, Texas.

Although pre-calculus is the intro to a new form of math for some students, it requires you to understand the mathematical concepts from previous courses, such as algebra and trigonometry. Without a working knowledge of these courses, a student may struggle to keep up with their class work. If you are struggling in your pre-calculus class, then personal Fort Worth precalculus tutoring can help you create a plan for getting up to speed. Each session, your tutor can provide you with customized pre-calculus content that is made specifically for you. Every student learns in a different way, so your tutor can provide you with materials specific to your learning style and needs.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Ryan in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
The student has no new notes or homework. So, I took the liberty of explaining the next section. We worked through a dozen or so problems. His grade is improved due to the tutoring sessions.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Amy in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
The student has a test tomorrow on Laws of Sines and Cosines, angles of elevation and depression, bearing and vectors. He asked to first go through the problems on a worksheet that had been provided reviewing all of this material, and then to do some more specific work on vectors. He was overall doing well on the material, but needed to work a little more on the vector material because it is newer. I advised him to complete tonight the rest of a vector worksheet that had been provided with solutions.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Sydney in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
In this session the student and I worked on a general review of all problems for his upcoming final exam (next Friday). I was really happy with his retention of older course material, and am anticipating him to do well next week. We will do an additional review on Wednesday when we meet, and I will really emphasize Parametric Equations, Complex Numbers, and Polar vs Rectangular form, which we identified were his most-challenging topics.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Travis in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
The student and I reviewed chapter 8 on probability. The most difficult problems that we encountered involved counting principles, such as determining the number of possible card combinations, or the number of combinations from a set of twelve different options. We also spent a lot of time on a difficult probability problem about determining the probability of a certain number of people in a room having the same birthday.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Melissa in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
We went through Chapter 8 problems and we need to finish one, but other than that, we can move on to another chapter tomorrow. We skipped Chapter 7 because it would be helpful to have the identities, so the student said she would try and get the sheet from her teacher. Otherwise, we are making a study guide.
