Having a mentor/tutor to guide me was always my dream but I never got one. So now I want to become a passionate tutor and help others succeed. I'm a lifetime student but I love sharing my knowledge. My method of teaching is to help people understand the foundation strong so I can not only help them complete their current work but also prepare for the future.

...I've attended Northwest Missouri State, and graduated with a BS in computer Science from Lindenwood University. I enjoy programming, reading, and Role-playing games. My main reading interests are Science Fiction and Fantasy. I've been a teacher for 14 years, and I prefer to guide my students to the answer, rather than give them answers to regurgitate on a test. To me, the process of finding the answer is just as important as finding the answer.

My goal is to empower students studying computer science. This means helping students develop skills for independent learning and building their confidence in programming, data structures, algorithms, and advanced topics. I have a MS in Computer Science from CU Boulder and am currently a PhD student in photogrammetry (computer vision) doing environmental research.

Everyone learns in different ways and that's the key point in teaching students. Conventional ways may work for some but not all students. Being able to deliver material in relatable ways is what I'm all about.
