In today's session, the student and I spent the first thirty minutes going over the book that he is reading for English. He seemed to have a better understanding of the novel after we discussed it. I focused on many of the important themes and metaphors that are of literary significance. For the remaining time, we went over some history projects. Since we were running out of time, I went over how he should organize his outline and some suggestions for some similarities and differences that he can use.

We spent the second half of our session working on a small reading passage and I had her retell me in sequence order after reading 1-3 paragraphs at a time.
