About Me

My academic background is in Math and Computer Science. I hold a bachelors of Mathematics from University of Florida and a Masters of Computer Science from Cornell University and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science. Outside of tutoring, my full time career is in software development. I'm comfortable tutoring high school and college level math and computer science as well as SAT and GRE prep. And my style of tutoring focuses on not just rote memorization of concepts but learning how and when to apply the right tool for the job. I've always loved creative problem solving and like to help my students learn to enjoy even tough topics like Trigonometry or Calculus as puzzles that require a lot of creative thinking. I've had some great teachers and mentors through the years who have shaped how I think, and I always enjoy the opportunity to pay that forward. Outside of my professional career, I'm a husband and father of four children. And I'm an avid life long learner.
