Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session the student and I proceeded to the next chapter, which covers the imperfect subjunctive. We reviewed the various uses of this tense, and how to conjugate verbs. After that, I helped her with her online and workbook homework. Since this tense requires knowledge of the preterite, she had difficulty conjugating verbs. However, she mentioned that she will review both tenses. She had an easier time with the vocabulary in this chapter. The vocabulary covered technology terms. Also, she mentioned that she received a 'B' in her latest oral presentation."
"Today the student and I spent a lot of time working on the spontaneous formation of sentences in various verb tenses. We also practiced a little more conversation based on topics that came up during the session. To finish we looked at some current news articles in order to practice both reading and listening comprehension."
"Today we covered city vocabulary and started preparing the student for his upcoming quiz on Monday by creating index cards with the English words on one side and the Spanish words on the reverse. He reviewed some listening and reading comprehension and answered related questions. Tomorrow, he will be introduced to the subjunctive and subjunctive in adjective clauses. He will also practice his vocabulary on a practice quiz that I have created for him. His homework assignment was to study the vocabulary words so that he can be ready for the practice quiz."
