I spent two great years acing all my science courses to prepare myself for dental school. Now, I want to take some time and share my knowledge with other uprising scholars!One thing my profile does NOT let me show for some reason is that I'm also fluent in Greek and have taken the DAT (required for dental medicine / to become a dentist). I received a 20 on the test, putting me around 85% higher than all other test takers!I find that I'm super patient and very easy-going. I am a 2019 graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. Currently, I am an optometry student at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan, NY. In my previous roles of statistics tutor and anatomy teaching assistant at Marquette, I enjoyed being both a mentor and friend to my students. Each day was a learning experience for me as much as it was for them, and I felt as though my impact extended far beyond the classroom. This is paralleled in how I intend to utilize my training to play the role of not only a healthcare provider to my future patients, but an educator. I find it immensely important to inform patients of the medicine and technology that can be adapted towards their visual impairments.

I am a current student at Marquette University. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and will be earning a bachelors as well as a masters degree in 5 years total. My focus on mechanical engineering and systems is due to my love of putting things together and drawing conclusions from physical representations. This was instilled at a young age as I had a deep love of Legos.My favorite subject to tutor is algebra. Algebra features so many of the basic mathematical tools which become instinct in higher level math like calculus, my favorite subject to study.I have a varied repertoire of subjects which I tutor as I do consider myself a renaissance man. I bring my bold and fresh teaching approach to all subjects and students. I have experience tutoring and/or taking coursework in all subjects listed. I have worked with students as young as middle school and as old as college.

I am an undergraduate at Marquette University. I am working toward my BS in Biomechanical Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. While at Marquette, I have had the pleasure of tutoring students preparing for an academic olympics, as well as students in an after school program. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Dallas in 2012 and my Master of Arts in British, American, and Anglophone Literature from Marquette University in 2019. I have worked in grades k-12 in all subject areas (primarily using a classical curriculum); I have taught rhetoric and composition courses at the freshman and sophomore collegiate level; and I have also co-taught junior and senior collegiate English literature courses centered on a singular topic. I love discussing literature in depth with my students and I particularly enjoy helping them along with the writing process- crafting a thesis, exploring sources, and proofreading! Proofreading and dialoging with students about their papers is, for me, the most joyful and fruitful part of the writing process. Far from being the mundane task of searching for typos of which it is usually thought, this is the part of the writing process where the core of the paper is crafted and the writer able to refine his or her own voice.I am happy to help as a second pair of eyes for a single assignment in the short term or for an extended period of time for a larger assignment. I am happy to help students wade through their reading assignments whether it be a primary literature source or secondary critical or theoretical sources. I can also help with note taking strategies, brainstorming, and paper organization.
