This first session went great. We did analogies to get a feel to start and then I gave her some essay topics and a bit of reading comprehension. She's a curious student who is interested in a lot and has an overall good vocab for the exam. I'm giving her some math practice and more reading comprehension as well as an essay to start.

Tutoring review by Michael in Mount Pleasant, WI
I gave him a math ACT practice test. His score tied the best score that he has ever scored previously. We spent the remaining time going over the problems that he missed. As we went over the problems, I had him rework the problems. This was a strong learning experience for him and a very effective session!

Tutoring review by Clayton in Mount Pleasant, WI
Primary topics covered include slope of a line, point slope form, and equation of a line. The student and I went through the questions on the optional practice problems his teacher gave him. He was quick to understand the concepts, but I would recommend more practice with fractions and utilizing them within the point slope formula. He seems to be both a visual learner and one that benefits from doing a multitude of practice problems. Overall, he did very well grasping all concepts.
