Growing up I always struggled with math and physics classes. It was my high school tutor that changed the way I look at these topics, and now I am studying Biomedical Engineering. I wish to help other students learn to love these topics the same way I have!

My name is Francis Nguyen. I am married and have three beautiful daughters. I graduated with a Bachelor in Math Education in 2000 and a Masters in Math in 2003 from Fairfield University. I have been teaching high school for over 20 years. The subjects I have taught ranged from elementary math to Trigonometry. I love to help children learn math and succeed in math.

...ever since helping my friends out with academics in high school, and I have experience tutoring or teaching calculus, physics, chemistry, and epidemiology. My college coursework includes multivariable calculus, differential equations, organic chemistry, physics, and linear algebra. In addition, I've worked extensively with high school mentorship programs in the Boston area. I want to do my part to make sure students have the support they need to succeed academically and find their own passion.

When I am not working with students I love to travel; the highlight of my travels was winning a fellowship for 1 teacher to travel through China alone for a month (which included a week in Tibet). It was a phenomenal experience that allowed me to really explore the diversity of Chinese culture.

I am a graduate of Yale University with a degree in biology and am currently working as a research associate at a cancer biology lab. I am an experienced STEM tutor for college and high school students and also tutor for standardized tests such as the MCAT and the SAT.
