Today the student and I went over the diagnostic test that she took for today. This test contained a lot of parametric coordinates, vector math and trigonometric identities. Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Kishore in The University of Utah, UT
Today was basically a review of Algebra 2. We went over parent functions and their associated graphs, then we went over solving and graphing both polynomial and rational functions. I also introduced partial fraction decomposition to the student. Lastly, we went over solving and graphing logarithmic equations. He did not really struggle with any specific concepts we went over today, as today was mostly a review of previously learned concepts.

Pre-Calculus Tutoring review by Talia in The University of Utah, UT
Today was the first time meeting with the student, so we spent the first 10 minutes going over what he is currently covering and how much progress he has made in his self-paced online course. His class is set up with 4-5 homework assignments to complete before doing an online quiz, after which he can take a proctored exam. When we met, he had already finished five homework assignments and a quiz. He knew how to finish the problems correctly, but I wanted to make sure he knew the "why's" behind what he was doing, so we did review. We then had some time to go over homework 7.7 prior to the session ending, so he has a good idea of how to finish the assignment on graphing tangent graphs.
