I have experience tutoring students in a variety of math subjects including algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and calculus 1. I have mostly worked with middle and high school students, but am excited to help anyone trying to learn. My favorite part of tutoring is watching students begin our lessons confused about things in their class and slowly grasp the concepts more firmly, and by the end feel confident implementing the concepts on their own.
Although my experience is in math, I have a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University. I am currently applying to medical school and hope to become a physician some day. I love explaining science concepts including biology, chemistry, and psychology.
I believe that tutoring is a guide to gaining understanding and complete comprehension of a subject, rather than just preparing for a test. I aim to help my students gain skills that they will use throughout the rest of their education to better prepare them for whatever their goals may be!
