I am currently a dual language teacher, teaching 3rd grade math and English language arts & reading. I love sports, movies, and spending time with my family. Spanish is one of my passions, I lived in Chile for 2 years while serving as part of an outreach there. While in Chile, I taught English to students and have many strategies for teaching languages.

I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2023. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Since graduation, I moved closer to home and began tutoring children from families in my local area both online and in person. While I tutor a broad range of Elementary subjects, I am most passionate about Math and Language Arts. In my experience helping struggling students practice and master foundational skills, we always seem to have the most fun applying their skills to real-world experiences and their individual interests. I am a firm advocate for education, believing it to be a necessity for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation, knowledge, and self-confidence to all of my students.

I am an experienced tutor in writing, reading, and biology. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Human Biology and have been a high school teacher of multiple science subjects (biology, chemistry, physical science, etc.) In school, I worked as an English writing tutor for all varieties of subjects, from accounting essays to ESOL student practice.In science, I am most experienced at tutoring genetics and psychology, but my favorite subject by far is neuroscience. In English, I am most experienced at reading comprehension and essay writing. I also have considerable experience tutoring general study skills and organization for academic success.I believe strongly in the idea of self-guided discovery, where I guide my students through the process of figuring it out for themselves.

I am from Utah and I have lived most of my life here. I am a graduate of Brigham Young University in Psychology. I also have my teaching certificate in Secondary Education and my ESL endorsement. I love to teach, especially reading. I feel very passionate about reading and I believe that it is so important because it opens the world to students. Being a good reader makes every other subject easier.

My seventh-grade language arts teacher changed my life, and if I can show even one student the way to success in education, I'm grateful for the opportunity. Though I have a passion for a variety of English classes, I specialize in essay revision and grammar lessons for both college and high school students. I am fluent in the academic styles of MLA, APA, Chicago, and AP. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in December 2021 with a bachelor's degree in communication (news/journalism emphasis) and a minor in English (specifically copy editing). I was an English tutor at my university's writing center for three semesters, both in person and over Zoom, so I have experience helping students understand English and essay writing. In this position, I helped students begin and polish anything from a freshman personal narrative to a senior nursing research paper. Writing professionally is a hobby of mine, and I recently published a 42,000-word guidebook about school time management.

I am a recent Biology graduate from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Throughout my time in my undergraduate I had a passion for sharing my knowledge with others and did so by being a volunteer tutor for entry level chemistry classes, teaching an anatomy laboratory, volunteering to help with algebra and tutoring in Spanish. I speak Spanish fluently after living in Chile for two years and I like to try to teach towards the understanding of my students. First by helping them understand some of the Latin roots and then teaching useful phrases that can be used more commonly. I have always had a passion for biology and the sciences connected to it and with that I will be able to help on both the high school and college level by teaching mnemonics and taking the time to quiz the student until they are comfortable with the material. I have been a tutor with Varsity since 2025, with many hours of experience focused in tutoring college students in chemistry and calculus. As a recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, I also have many years of informal experience in tutoring subjects such as high school algebra, calculus, and physics. I am a self-proclaimed math and science nerd with 5+ years tutoring/teaching experience. I have a Bachelor of Science in physics from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Master of Science in materials science from the University of Washington. In addition to my education I have also taught college physics for over a year. With such a diverse background I am able to tutor in physics, all levels of mathematics (including calculus and beyond), and even materials science if you're interested in it. My personal favorite subjects are physics, calculus, and pre-calculus. My approach to tutoring is to help students re-learn what they may have missed or forgotten and to assist them in discovering patterns and methods necessary to solve problems on their own. In other words, my job is to work myself out of a job; and I am very good at it! I have a deep interest in both researching and teaching Economics, as well as other fields of study. I have been involved in teaching and research for the better part of a decade. I got my start tutoring Economics at the college level, and have been teaching in some capacity ever since. I have degrees from BYU, the University of Georgia, and am currently an Economics PhD candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I have taught several sections of Economics at the undergraduate level, as well as sections of GRE and GMAT test prep to post-graduate students preparing to enter graduate school. In addition to tutoring, I also enjoy helping potential graduate students navigate the application process and help them target their applications to their school(s) of choice.

I graduated from Brigham Young University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade in a Title I Elementary School for two years, taking a break to care for my son while my husband completed his schooling. I taught all subjects offered in 6th grade: math, language arts, writing, science, and social studies. My passion subjects are math, writing and history. I firmly believe that education is fundamental to living a successful and fulfilled life; it is the basis to creating a positive, lasting change in the world.

I love reading and writing and all the elements that are intricately laced through those two disciplines. It is exciting the explore the possibilities of word choice and grammar, as well as the different lenses with which to analyze literature and explore themes.I graduated with my undergraduate in English Literature from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I received my master's degree from Northern Arizona University in Rhetoric, Writing, and Digital Media Studies. I taught English composition as an adjunct faculty at BYU-Idaho for two years. I am trained in the Suzuki violin method and taught violin lessons to children as young as five and adults. I believe that a person of any age can develop a musical talent and learn to analyze literature and become a high-level reader and writer.My favorite subject to teach is English composition. I think being able to shape your words into clear thoughts and persuasive language is a beautiful art.
