Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"It should be the student's main focus to learn more vocabulary. I left her homework as always and look forward to our next session."
"We went over punctuation and usage from the study guide the family purchased. Student is still working on text interpretation. Although, the student has improved dramatically with his vocabulary acquisition. I left the student with some notes from the session to review over the holiday break."
"The student did great. He is more than ready for this test!!! His math is up to speed and his verbal and reading are outstanding. He should do great on his test."
"This was a very productive initial session. The student is very competent in math and English, and his main issue seems to be time. He will do a timed practice test for next week, and that should give us a better idea of what we need to work on."
"This was our first lesson. We focused on the Verbal section of the state assessment test. We went over scrambled paragraphs and logic reasoning. I showed her how to identify keywords and linking words for scrambled paragraphs and the importance of chronological order using dates or words like first, next, and lastly. We also discussed the use of charting for logic reasoning and how to decipher code games. She was very attentive and eager to learn."
"This was our first session, so to begin I got a sense of how much prep the student had done previously and what her goals were. She said she was most concerned with reading and math, so we spent some time doing practice and I went over some test-taking strategies. We will go over more math concepts next time, as well as continue to work on reading."
