I have a passion for literature, writing, and philosophy; I love to learn and teach these subjects and know how to make them come alive! I believe in breaking down big problems into concrete and easy steps - whether that be a math problem or a ten-page paper. In the past, I have tutored everyone from fellow college classmates to grade school students. I love coming alongside people and helping them learn.

Having tutored for over two years, I take pride in my ability to meet students where they are in their understanding and present material in ways that are tailored to each student. I'm an extremely patient and determined tutor and my number one objective is the success of the student. I specialize in organic chemistry and calculus and look forward to meeting you!
In January of 2012, I graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting. I have a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, minoring in Management of Information Systems.Currently, as an Assistant Professor of Accounting, I teach Principles of Auditing and Other Assurance Services, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting I & II.Previously, I held a position as an auditor in the International Registration Plan section of the Department of Motor Vehicles in Sacramento and worked as a Staff Accountant in a CPA office. I bring years of experience as a Commercial Investment Advisor to my teaching.
I am a current student at the University of St. Thomas, working towards my major of Computer Science and while I am proficient in a broad range of subjects I love math and science the most. Before university, I was able to travel with my family to a lot of places and meet a huge variety of people because of this I love meeting new people. I love hearing about their family dynamic or their group of friends at school and exchanging funny stories along the way.
I'm a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology, and I'm excited to work with students from elementary to high school. My love for science and understanding of how people learn help me create engaging lessons that resonate with each student. I believe learning should be a collaborative and enjoyable journey. I focus on building a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. By tailoring my approach to their individual needs, I aim to help them not just understand the material but also develop critical thinking skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. As I pursue a career in healthcare, I'm eager to inspire students to see the value of education in shaping their futures. Together, we can make learning a fun and fulfilling experience!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. I tutor any math up through high school Pre-Calculus. My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra because its fun to work with problems that require high-level logical and analytical thinking. These are essential skills every student (and every person) can benefit from practicing. From my past experience as a private tutor, I have found that students who struggle with math often do not receive a sufficient amount of time to process, understand, and practice what they learned class. Without a firm grasp on the content, students will quickly fall behind, as math builds upon itself. Understandably then, mathematics can seem daunting; however, math is really just a shorthand language we use to describe everyday thingsone just needs to take time and care to comprehend it. As a tutor, I give students the guidance and confidence they need in their own abilities to succeed. Since education ultimately exists to liberate people from ignorance, illuminating the "why" and the "how" behind things is very important to me. Making sure that students understand the content and can apply it outside of my help is my goal, as opposed to offering memorization tricks or shortcuts simply for the sake of completion, which benefit no one in the long run. When I'm not tutoring, you'll likely find me spending time with my husband and children. I also enjoy a wide range of outdoor and energetic activities, including playing recreational sports and visiting parks.
I love to teach. I feel most purposeful when I help students acquire knowledge. I believe that all students have the ability to learn with patient instruction, a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment, and access to research based curriculum.
Everyone can learn as long as they are interested. There are different learning styles, and I am willing to work with you to find the best method of learning for you.

I have passion for tutoring. I have an undergraduate degree in Finance, and I also carry an MBA in Finance. I've been in the business world for four years now, and I've always wanted to tutor and give others the help they need to match the same educational success that I've experienced in my life. My methods for success are simple, it takes patience and encouragement for kids to find success in certain areas especially in Math and English. If you hire me, you will be getting someone who has a passion in seeing success and improvement with whoever I tutor, and I will bring patience and new methods in order for your kid to truly grasp the material they receive in the classroom.
I believe that students have the ability to achieve and learn at high levels. With my experience of tutoring and teaching online as well as in person, I feel that I have the tools to help a variety of different types of learners.
