Tutoring review by Justin in Warrenton, MO
The student and I prepared for her Math test this week that covered finding rational zeros, factoring out polynomials, graphing equations and long division. She had sample practice problems that her teacher gave her that we went through and it appeared that she understood the material and the topics without too much of a struggle. She slightly got tripped up on a long division problem but eventually worked through it. I feel with a little more time and practice she'll do really well on her test.

This allowed us to address many topics such as inequalities, graphing inequalities, mathematical properties, factoring polynomials, FOILing to make polynomials, the difference between combining like terms, and isolating the variable. We are focusing on these basic concepts so she can grow confident with them.

We covered greetings, introductions, countries, nationality, the verb to be, personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, the verb to speak, numbers 0-10, and the alphabet. We practiced using reading, speaking, response and listening. In short conversations, the student practiced how to greet/ introduce oneself, say what country and city one is from, what nationality, and say what languages one speaks. It was a good lesson and everyone had a positive response.
