I was pleased to see that the student was better today with memorizing the identities and recognizing where to use them. I made her a mini review sheet to help her study the formulas for parabola, hyperbola, and ellipses. Overall this session went well.

During our third session, we reviewed her unit 2 consisting of graphs, functions, and equations. We also began basic trigonometry. By the end of our session the student was able to use sin and cosine and tangent to solve for right triangles. Using her handout, I explained to her the significance of degrees and radians. She said she understood them much better afterwards and with some pause was able to recite sin and cos at 30, 45, and 60 degrees.
