I'm a recent graduate from the University of Virginia with a BA in Applied Statistics and an incoming MS in Data Science student at NYU. I would be happy to help students with standardized tests (SAT and GRE), statistics and math (AP, high school or college level), college essays, and programming languages like Python and R.

I hold a master's degree in mathematics from Columbia University and have years of work experience in the hedge fund and consulting industry. I have worked as a teaching assistant for several upper-level math and statistics courses while at Columbia. I have knowledge and expertise in many mathematical topics, including pre-calc, calculus, probability and linear algebra. I enjoy explaining technical concepts and creating connections that can be committed to memory and promote learning.

I have taught for over 20 years, both classroom math/english to grades 1-college, and tutored private students grades 4-12. I love math and history. I am on the board of STEM in our Mamaroneck School District, and combine math and problem solving in a holistic way.

My academic interests mostly relate to animals: zoology, evolutionary ecology, paleozoology, social evolution, and phylogenetics.
