I attended St. Mary's University and received a Bachelor's in Music and Elementary Education. Then I taught for 7 years in elementary schools in Kansas and in Phoenix, Arizona. I taught General Music in Phoenix for four years. In 2007, I received my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have also been a tutor for several years and taught in a reading lab for a year.

I am a recent graduate with a Master's of Science in Medical Physiology from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
