I think that in order to teach someone you have to figure out how they learn. I've been tutoring for about 4 years and I love it!

I love playing video games and I don't know what I'd do without Netflix and Hulu. I also really love to read.
What is your teaching philosophy?
Everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds. To really help someone learn, you have to figure out what works best for them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During the first tutoring session with a new student, I like to get to know a little about them, find out where they think they need the most help, and try to make a plan to reach their goals.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Figure out the root of the problem by figuring out exactly which aspects of the concept or skill the student is having difficulty with.
