I hold a PhD in Cultural Anthropology with a focus in museums and Museum Studies. My research interests include the interpretation of artifacts and exhibits at socio-historical museums. I have extensive experience teaching in both formal and informal settings as well as in person and online.

I got my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Economics and a Minor in Political Science. Then I spent a year in China studying Mandarin and working with a faith-based organization. After returning to the USA, I worked a couple of years as a personal and business banker. Then I got a four year Master of Divinity at Denver Seminary. I am very passionate about helping others succeed!

I'm a retired physician, who rediscovered his love for teaching as a volunteer tutor for Boston's Partners in Education. I have been a volunteer tutor for high school kids at Artists for Humanity for the past 3 years. I have many years of experience teaching in Medical Continuing Education. Some of the most fulfilling tutoring I have done recently have been tutoring immigrants for the US Citizenship Test, helping formerly incarcerated individuals attain their GEDs, and tutoring children in Honduras on conversational English to obtain high-paying jobs in the tourism industry.
