I'm not in the lab, I can usually be found playing guitar and songwriting with my band, listening to new music, hitting the slopes on my snowboard or just spending a night in cooking interesting new dishes or baking bread.

I'm passionate about sharing ideas and enjoy learning as a community. I also went to summer camp as a camper and counselor for thirteen years, coached middle school basketball for several years and love having fun while guiding group learning.

I am interested in Christian and Jewish theology, American politics, and economics. In my free time, I like to read novels, hike, and bike on trails, play rugby and soccer, and spend time with my wife and friends.

I am a first grade teacher. I have been teaching first grade for 19 years and love it. I especially love teaching reading - using up to date research techniques following the science of reading. I do enjoy making math fun and hands on as well. I am a mom to a 13 year old girl and 7 year old boy, so I have more than a few management and engagement techniques up my sleeve. I am a recent graduate from Cornell University, with a degree in Biological Sciences and a concentration in Genetics, Genomics, and Development, and a minor in Jewish Studies.
