I am passionate about helping students access and succeed in higher education. I have a master's degree in higher education, and I am currently a doctoral candidate in higher education at Boston College. Before I moved to Boston, I lived in Texas, North Carolina, and California.

I have taught education and research classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and I have served my community as a writing tutor for students at different stages. For example, I worked with many first-year students as they tackled their core courses. Additionally, I helped graduate students write their term papers by helping them shape their ideas into coherent narratives.

However, I am proudest to have supported students in their pursuit of graduate education. Sometimes this meant helping with admissions essays and personal statements, strategically planning their application process, or talking through the unwritten rules of graduate admissions and graduate education.

I have experience working with college students who have learning differences, and I am sensitive to the specific processes used to support these students in higher education. Additionally, I am experienced in working with students who are English language learners.
