I was a tutor in high school when I tutored fellow high school students who were falling behind. Being a great tutor is about listening to and understanding the tutee. Beyond a thorough understanding of the concepts being taught, a great tutor must be able to connect with the person they are teaching in order to best convey the concepts in a way the student will understand.
