I am a great tutor because I am patient and I am attentive to my students needs. I specialize in teaching English and languages to students of all ages. I have spoken Spanish for 43 years, German for 38 years and French for 37 years.

I am a teacher and I give private lessons to people who want to learn Spanish. With this experience I have a firm belief that teaching needs a change and I am working on it. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, hiking in the mountains, and playing board games.

I am a graduate of UC Davis and am a full IB (International Baccalaureate) graduate (I tested in Anthropology, Spanish, Art, English, Mathematics, and Biology and wrote my extended essay in Anthropology). I was an exchange student in Costa Rica where I learned the Spanish language and one of my favorite hobbies, salsa dancing. I am currently working on completing my Master's degree, but have my Master's equivalent in Education coursework.

I'm happy to work with middle school levels and upward. My tutoring style emphasizes grammar first - because of this, I usually do not practice with younger children in an immersion-style process, though I do, very much, encourage it. Conversation is an essential aspect of learning a language, and I love to help students who are learning a foreign language with conversation, but I can only help if they're learning the grammar behind it as well.
