We practiced her reading, focusing on how to summarize each paragraph as she reads so she can find where the questions are discussed in the text more easily, and what questions she should ask herself when she is confused.

During my session with the student today, we began chapter 6 of her textbook. This chapter covered writing and balancing equations, which is an accumulation of skills from all of the previous chapters. In order to successfully write balanced equations, the student has to be confident in her ability to name all of the different types of compounds and balance their charges. Another essential skill in balancing equations is committing to memory the necessary polyatomic elements. We will spend more time on this material because I anticipate her final exam focusing heavily on equation balancing because it does incorporate so many aspects and skills of chemistry.

Finance Tutoring review by Robert in Phoenix, AZ
Worked on one of the student's old review exams. Had a lot to do with balance sheets and income statements, and how the balance sheets and income statements are effected by certain transactions. We mainly worked on accrual accounting and journal entries. The student mentioned he has a finance background so that will be nice to relate things to. He may have some troubles with journal entries and how they relate to the financial statements, so that will be a nice place to start. We got off to a strong start, and we will work our best to having him pass that exam in 5 weeks to be exempt from his accounting class!

The student and I reviewed several cash flow problems again and went over preparing journal entries related to equity transactions. We also discussed how he can improve his success with multiple choice questions by using a process of elimination. The student will be taking his final exam for this accounting class so this will be our last session until he starts classes again in the fall.
