I'm Annelisa, originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I recently graduated from Yale University, where I studied art and its interactions with political journalism and science. I'm happy to tutor on a wide range of subjects, especially writing, college application, and the SAT!

I'm a rising senior at Yale University. My two main passions in life are biology and English--people might see them as completely opposite subjects, but I think they're just two sides of the same coin! As a tutor, I believe that flexibility and personalization are key. Above all, my goal is to help people not just do well in their assignments but also truly understand the material. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University. I received my degree in Secondary Education with a Social Studies Emphasis and Mathematics Minor. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education through the University of Notre Dame while teaching high school math and social studies. I am in the midst of the medical school admissions process, but hopefully, it will conclude soon. I have a comprehensive understanding of subjects ranging from the social sciences to math. As a tutor, I want to instill confidence into my students. I'm Kelly and I love everything about language. I became an avid reader at a young age, and it's stuck with me my entire life. My favorite stories are those that engage both intellect and emotions. And I love the infinite possibilities that come with constructing a good story. I'm honored to serve as a teacher and mentor to all my students!

I'm fairly new to formal tutoring but I've been helping my five children with their homework for the last 18 years. I consider math and science my favorite subjects, with physics being one of my most favorite. When I'm coaching a student, I believe in a very tailored approach which encourages and strengthens the knowledge and skills that a student has and then adds the information that is needed to succeed. Rote memorization is not my strong suit, I believe in really understanding the underlying organizing principles. In my other job I design houses, and when I'm not doing that I love to read, and hike and do some woodworking now and then.

Fulton Schools of Engineering and have extensive math, physics, and writing experience. I recently applied and was accepted to many top-ten PhD programs for engineering because of academic merit and personal statement writing skills.
