Today we worked on parametric equations. For the most part it went well. The student wasn't comfortable with log/ln but after a brief refresher she was able to understand. We have one section of this chapter to cover and then it will be review for the final. I recommended the student to start making up review sheets to better her studying. The student and I went through exponential graphs and exponential functions. First we focused on what exponential functions look like on a graph. We plotted some out. We also learned to translate exponential functions based off of a parent function. \ A significant amount of time was also spent learning to solve exponential functions for x. We used problems out the algebra 2 book that I use.

We covered Chapter 1 from his text book. His main concerns were the composite functions (f o g) (x). After explaining him about the composite function, I tested him with few exercises. He did good and then we moved on to other sections namely what is Domain, Range. Finding domain and range from a given function using interval method. We also covered topics converting point-slope form of line equation to slope intercept form. We concluded by covering transformation, reflection and stretching of a graph of a given function. After the session he seemed to grasp the concepts. I always tested him at the end of each topic and although he got stuck in some problems, he did well in others.
