How can a tutor assist you in conquering Geometry?

Geometry is a subject that is different from most other math classes that you have likely experienced to date. It delves into shapes and measuring angles, as opposed to working strictly with numbers. Geometry is a subject that students may find difficult to connect to the real world, so they may not be as interested in learning it. If you are struggling to learn geometry or to stay interested in your course, private Phoenix, Arizona, geometry tutors can help you.

Phoenix geometry tutors can help you study the relationships between angles. If you struggle with supplementary angles or vertical angles, your tutor can help you learn the differences. It doesn't matter which concepts you are having a hard time with, your tutor can work with you to focus on understanding these concepts. If you need help preparing for the geometry that may be found in the AzMERIT or AIMS portions, they can help with that as well.

Geometry Tutoring review by Amy in Phoenix, AZ
The student has his final exam this week. His teacher provided two review packets. As our time would not have been nearly enough to work through these packets in their entirety, I started by asking with which topics he felt he needed the most help. These were the oldest information, so we did a thorough review of those concepts by working through review problems and old chapter test problems. Then we focused on completing all problems from the more difficult review sheet, with the exception of those from the most recent topics of area and volume. I believe that the student is on very solid footing for the exam.

For our last session, the student and I went over Geometry. I wrote up practice problems that covered all the topics of the semester, and we reviewed them together. They included ratio, area (apothem), polygon, similar triangle, arc length, and proof problems. It has been a real pleasure working with her, and I wish her continued success in all her classes!

Geometry Tutoring review by Ben in Phoenix, AZ
Did a quick review of all topics and worked on some tougher volume and surface area problems. The student is showing great improvement in problem solving skills. He still needs to work on being patient and doing problems step-by-step.

Geometry Tutoring review by Amy in Phoenix, AZ
We discussed calculations for sine, cosine and tangent and when it is appropriate to use these calculations. Arc length was compared to sine calculations to reinforce why different equations are used in certain circumstances. The distance equation for line segments was derived from the Pythagorean Theorem for a clearer understanding as well.
