After attending Rice University in Houston, I taught chemistry in Los Angeles, moved back to Houston and taught chemistry, algebra 1, algebra 2, and geometry to high school students. At Rice I was pre-med for a while before I decided to become a teacher and major in psychology. In Los Angeles I earned a Masters in Urban Education and credential in science education.
