My education background from the University of Michigan is in psychology and elementary education, with a teaching certificate for K-8th grade. I have had experience teaching and tutoring at all grade levels, and I am able to tutor most core academic subjects. However, I have a special love for language - particularly literacy skills and writing. I am currently back in graduate school studying speech-language pathology.

I pride myself on a common sense approach to studying a subject matter but also teaching how to become a better test taker. I love mnemonics and we always have fun! I'm a former paramedic, Navy veteran, registered nurse, nurse practitioner, and all around well-traveled individual with a passion for helping others.

As a professional, my goal as a tutor is to inspire students and help them unlock and reach their maximum potential, not only by improving their grades but by fostering a genuine interest in the subjects they study.
