About Me

I am a Registered Nurse with 28 years experience. I received my BSN and MSN at Wayne State University. My MSN track was Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program. I received my DNP from the University of Detroit Mercy. I have a wide range of nursing experience over the years. I have worked as an Emergency Room Nurse, Infection Prevention & Control, Quality/Safety & Accreditation, Management, Nursing Education Specialist , Adjunct Faculty and Clinical Instructor. I am also a CPR and First Aid instructor and board certified in Nursing Professional Development by ANCC.I am passionate about the nursing profession and patient safety. I believe that every nurse should be prepared to provide quality nursing and practice in a safe environment. I enjoy teaching nursing students who are excited to learn the profession and have the desire to succeed. I have found success in helping students by sharing real life experiences, applying strategies that are practical and having open lines of communication.
