I am a recent Biology graduate from Kean University. I love children and I want to make learning fun for them. I have had high success rates with my tutoring clients whether formal or informal. I hope to be a positive force for students who may be struggling and help them see that they can learn anything and get a confidence boost.

I love being able to explain content in a way that students both relate to and are able to understand. One of the biggest skills I try to teach my students is to ask questions. The ability to voice where you need help and ask questions to get the answers you need is a valuable life skill.I have experience teaching 1st, and 5th-8th grade math in a variety of districts around Texas. I have most recently been teaching 7th and 8th Grade math at a virtual school. I have my Bachelors in Education from Midwestern State University and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from UT Arlington. My passion is teaching math. I know that this is an area many students struggle with. It is always my goal to not only help grow students understanding of math, but also to help them grow to love the subject.In my spare time, I enjoy crafting and learning how to do new things.

I graduated from Texas A&M University, where I attained my Bachelors of Science in Biology and worked in a research lab. I have a strong passion for science and love to share that knowledge in a way that resonates with each student. I believe in meeting students where they are at academically and helping them reach their full potential.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I tutored college students in various science subjects for two semesters. I have a passion for biology and chemistry that has led me to work in labs at both the University of Massachusetts and the University of Maryland. I firmly believe that the best use of knowledge is to spread to those who wish to learn and I seek to demonstrate this belief in my tutoring sessions.

I am a junior at Cornell University where I am working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. In the past, I have worked at Kumon as a math and reading tutor. I am most passionate about teaching Math, Physics, and Spanish. I try to bring that passion to each tutoring session so that the lessons are both interesting and enriching. My ultimate goal is simple: when a student is able to explain a topic or even teach it back to me, I am confident that they have truly mastered the material.

At Varsity Tutors, I hope that I can contribute well to your education. Much of my experience involves peer tutoring; in high school, I aided younger classmen on concepts that I had learned in years prior to them. These topics would be related to math (Algebra 1-4, Pre-Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus), as well as AP Chemistry. I helped other students starting my sophomore year and continued to provide afterschool sessions until I left high school. During my time in college, I have also tutored peers in mathematics (typically Calculus 1-3) as well as general and organic chemistry. My experience in both high school and college includes formal and informal tutoring. Much of the aforementioned experience pertains to one-on-one or small-group tutoring.In addition to enjoying tutoring, I also enjoy seeing my students succeed. In middle school, I struggled to find motivation in the field of mathematics, as many of my teachers didn't spend enough time supporting me and their other students. Only in high school did I grow very interested in math, as my teachers set enough time aside to discuss the material and to further student interest through math's wide-reaching applications. This success follows me through the advanced math classes I have taken such as Calculus and Linear Algebra. Thus, I believe that even one interested, caring and motivated individual can unleash any student's great potential.

I am a full time Third Grade teacher in Chandler. I have tutored all age groups from K-8. I also have some experience with college age students. I am a visual learner and use drawing and manipulatives to help students learn. I have taken students in my class up at least one grade level. Often my students rise more than one grade level with my help. I have used music and games to help students understand a concept. I have many different ways of helping students grasp the information.

I am currently a third year medical student at the University of Health Texas Science Center Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, TX. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology from Texas AM International University. I teach primarily biochemistry, cell biology, general biology, and anatomy/physiology from the AP high school level to undergraduate and even graduate level. Aside from the sciences, I have taught classical piano for 10 years from the elementary level to undergraduate level to adults. I believe that every student I work with is also a unique opportunity for me to continue learning as well, because the best teachers always strive to be students themselves! I am the type of teacher that likes to challenge the student and give them the tools and skills to be able to have lifelong self study motivation and success. I also always focus on understanding over memorizaring material because this is critical to long term retention and learning, which is so important. However, I am always patient, enthusiastic, light-hearted, and well prepared for every individual student's needs and goals!
