I have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto; my professional and scientific interests lie in metabolic engineering, cell biology, and bioinformatics.I began my tutoring career in high school as a peer tutor, where I spent my free study periods in departmental offices offering academic support on a drop-in basis. In college I also enjoyed tutoring my friends when they wanted some extra academic support.My passion is for mathematics and the sciences: as an engineer I have a deep appreciation for how theory in textbooks translates into real world applications. I am really good at tutoring because I can break down the subject matter in a multitude of ways and explain it differently each time. Additionally, I am really good at helping students make connections between two seemingly unrelated topics. Lastly, I push students rather hard. I believe in giving them the toughest and spontaneous questions possible. I believe this will help them face any difficult exam question in the future.

I have taught for almost 11 years in a public school. The best part about teaching is to explore new ideas with young minds. I have been helping kids understand science in an interactive way.While I mostly enjoy helping kids with Chemistry, I also help younger kids with Mathematics.I believe tutoring is always a two way process, wherein the teachers learn from their students.
